Hey! Here you can find out how to practise dictations really well with the app.
Writing dictations can be really fun – especially when you see yourself getting better and better! 🚀 With a few tricks, practising gets even easier.
And don’t forget: Mistakes are totally normal. Everyone makes them – and they are exactly what you learn the most from! 💪
Yes! Your parents show you a QR code. You scan it with your device – and off you go, with no password and no email address. If you share a tablet at home, you can connect more than one child to it and simply switch between you.
No problem! You can listen to the sentence as often as you like. Just listen carefully again. If you don’t know a word at all, write it the way you think it goes – afterwards the app shows you the right word.
Probably in the archive. When a dictation goes into the archive, it disappears from your list – but it is not deleted. Your stars for it stay too. Under your list it says “Archive”: if you are allowed to tap there, you can bring it back yourself with “Back on the list”. If not, tell your parents.
You get stars for words you spell right. The fewer mistakes you make, the more stars you get! Tip: read your text again at the end before you hand it in.
Mistake words are words you spelt wrong. The app remembers these words, and you can practise them again. That way you keep getting better!
Yes! Your parents or your teacher can type in their own sentences. Or the AI makes sentences that fit your year all by itself. Cool, right?
It’s best to practise for 10–15 minutes every day. That’s not much – about as long as a break at school. And you’ll see: it gets easier every time!
Reading makes you clever
If you read a lot, you write better all by itself. Your brain remembers the words without you even noticing!
Your brain is a muscle
The more you practise, the stronger your “spelling muscle” gets. After a few weeks, everything is much easier!
Small steps, big success
Practising 10 minutes every day does more than a whole hour once a week. You can do it!
