Terms of use

pippo.app is a free dictation coach for children. The provider is Slothworks IT GmbH, FN 676708i, Goldlackgasse 7/2, 1220 Wien (see legal notice). pippo.app started as a private project and has been part of Slothworks IT GmbH since April 2026.

By using pippo.app – in particular by creating an account – you agree to these terms of use.

Accounts can only be created by adults (parents or teachers). Children use the app through profiles that are set up and managed by adults.

You are responsible for the security of your account. Please use a secure password and do not share your login details.

You may use pippo.app to:

• create and practise dictations for your children or pupils
• follow learning progress
• share content with other users within the app

• Copying, decompiling or reselling the app or parts of it
• Systematically extracting or scraping content of the app (texts, images, dictations)
• Creating offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content
• Using the app for commercial purposes without prior permission
• Putting the security of the app at risk or disturbing other users

The character “Pippo” – including name, design, illustrations, poses, avatars (“Pippo’s friends”) and all related graphics – is protected by copyright (§§ 1 ff UrhG – Urheberrechtsgesetz, Austrian Copyright Act).

The same applies to all texts, layouts, icons and other content on pippo.app.

Without express written permission, you may not:

• use Pippo or parts of the design in your own products, apps or websites
• copy, edit or pass on the illustrations
• use the name “Pippo” in connection with your own educational products
• spread content from pippo.app on social media in a way that gives the impression it is your own content

Dictations, spelling words and other content that you create in pippo.app belong to you. You grant pippo.app the right to display and process this content within the app (e.g. speech output, mistake analysis).

If you mark content as “public”, other users can see and use it within the app.

You make sure that the content you create does not contain copyrighted texts by third parties – e.g. from school books or publishers’ materials – unless you have the necessary rights to use them.

If these terms of use change, you will be asked to confirm the updated terms again the next time you create or edit a dictation.

pippo.app is provided “as is” – without any guarantee of availability, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose.

Slothworks IT GmbH reserves the right to change, restrict or discontinue the app at any time. Liability for data loss, outages or errors in the content of dictations is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
